Where did October go?

The past few months have just seem to fly by. I often find myself thinking, I should really write this down or blog or something.

Ughhhh, kids are awake. Maybe another time.

Purple teeth?!

Sunday was Peter’s birthday bash at the Johnson’s. Happy Birthday! Everything was pretty much the same ol craziness that I’m growing to love. I have to admit, I’m happy when I can hear the light rain falling outside while I’m inside the house. I’m lucky if I can hear the dishwasher running when the whole gang is here and the dishwasher isn’t very quiet.
Dinner was delicious! We had scones and a breakfast casserole with Mom’s macaroons to top it all off. YUM!
After dinner I was up in the bathroom indisposed. Not two minutes later I hear someone yell, “Oh, No Gideon!” I just giggled because I know Ezra is downstairs and he’ll have to deal with whatever it is. Back to reading my Parenting magazine … lalalala. Emily (9yr niece) knocks on the door and I let her know that I can’t come out. She informs me that my son has found a bottle of Gentian violet that was being used to help treat Jayden’s severe diaper rash. It can also be used to treat Thrush. If you’ve ever used it before it’s a horrible mess! It dyes everything it touches a deep purple. Emily let me know that Peter (our licensed MD in the family) said Gideon should be fine.
I don’t think Ali will leave medicines lying around anymore, at least not around little ones.
There was nothing I could do at this point other than laugh and think ~ Purple is my favorite color… heh.  I wondered if he looked like Barney?..
Another thing I thought of was Violet from Charley and the Chocolate Factory. You know the character she played! She couldn’t resist that piece of gum that turned her blue.
Oh, yes he was a sight. I let it go for a while until the kids started to call him “purple boy.” The little ones didn’t bother me but when the older ones started to make fun of him I stepped in.
I gave him a bath and was able to get most of the gunk off.
Never a dull moment at the Johnson’s

I had an interesting day. Let's just say I'm beat! I'm not sleepy but I feel drained. Gideon has been a little sick the past couple of days so he's crabby and Hannah's got a touch of whatever he's had but she can do it with a smile on her face.

So, 11AM rolls around and I decide to get the kids out of the house. We do the Target/ Costco thing ~ window shop so when 1PM comes around I can just put Gideon down for a nap.. ahhhhh nice. :)  All except the blowout Hannah had. Grinning from ear to ear covered in yellowish poo from the middle of her back all the way down her left leg. Ewwwwww! And to top it off, I had to wash the car seat.
Motherhood is a dirty job sometimes!

It’s been a while since I’ve last posted, all kinds of reasons, but mainly because I just couldn’t give blogging enough priority.

First off, I would like to thank the majority of Americans for screwing us up.
While it is easy to lay blame at the feet of our presidents, these men would have never been allowed to have such control were it not for the ignorance and apathy of the American public. They fall for the same tricks again and again, believing that either Democrats or Republics will save them while never fully exploring those implications and understanding that the system itself is to blame rather than any individual political party. Our ignorant masses would rather watch sports and Prime time TV than follow the independent media, organize protests, and ask real questions.

Life is pretty good here at the Johnson & Johnson’s. We’ve moved in with Ezra’s parents about three months ago. The downfall of our economy stabbed us in the back but we’re making ends meet with generosity our family.

Our kids are growing so fast. Gideon is forming sentences, running, loves to play with cars and gets excited when he sees motorcycles or bikes. Hannah just makes your heart melt when you look at her. She is so darling! She giggles and sticks out her tongue, just the cutest!
Both are very sweet and just the most adorable kids ever! No, I'm not bias. :)
